Segundo a <a href=\"https:\/\/forbes.com.br\/negocios\/2020\/08\/streaming-ganha-ainda-mais-relevancia-com-o-isolamento-social\/\">Forbes Brasil<\/a>, a plataforma <strong>Telecine Play<\/strong>, por exemplo, registrou um crescimento de 400% de cadastros e um aumento de 100% no n\u00famero de filmes assistidos desde o in\u00edcio da quarentena. Este crescimento n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas consequ\u00eancia da pandemia, mas efeito de como a tecnologia do streaming tem revolucionado o audiovisual.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grandes plataformas de streaming mudaram&nbsp; tamb\u00e9m a forma como filmes e s\u00e9ries s\u00e3o feitos. Com o lan\u00e7amento do Disney+ no Brasil, a disputa entre Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Globoplay e outras empresas ficou mais acirrada. Neste cen\u00e1rio de crescimento e surgimento de novas plataformas, qual \u00e9 o futuro da TV e do streaming?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em entrevista ao <strong>Colab<\/strong>, Emmanuelle Dias, doutoranda pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) e pesquisadora sobre s\u00e9ries e streaming, conta como esta tecnologia afeta os consumidores e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conte\u00fado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA populariza\u00e7\u00e3o do streaming est\u00e1 muito atrelada ao acesso aos servi\u00e7os de internet e ao surgimento de tecnologias de tela, com a populariza\u00e7\u00e3o dos smartphones e tablets. Isso facilita a assinatura dos servi\u00e7os e o pr\u00f3prio consumo. Mas temos que fazer essa associa\u00e7\u00e3o considerando um contexto de movimento cultural, n\u00e3o apenas um fen\u00f4meno isolado que est\u00e1 surgindo agora\u201d, analisa Emmanuelle Dias.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Por que o streaming cresce tanto?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Primeiramente, \u00e9 preciso considerar que o streaming n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma atividade recente. \u201c\u00c9 um tipo de tecnologia que surge no in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 1990 e vai sendo incorporada. Seu acesso vai se popularizando junto com o servi\u00e7o de internet. O streaming n\u00e3o \u00e9 somente o audiovisual. Servi\u00e7os de som e \u00e1udio, como o <strong>Spotify<\/strong>, tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o streaming\u201d, explica Emmanuelle Dias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Netflix<\/strong> acompanhou o processo de introdu\u00e7\u00e3o do streaming na sociedade. A empresa surge em 1997 com servi\u00e7os de loca\u00e7\u00e3o de DVD\u2019s via correio, com o objetivo de mudar e inovar o sistema de vendas e empr\u00e9stimos de filmes. Em 2007, lan\u00e7a a primeira plataforma paga de streaming, permitindo que assinantes vejam filmes e s\u00e9ries instantaneamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Com o crescimento desta tecnologia, como o streaming muda e populariza uma nova forma de consumir conte\u00fados audiovisuais? Gustavo Padovani mestre em Imagem e Som pela <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ufscar.br\/\">UFSCar<\/a>, especialista em Gest\u00e3o em Marketing pela FGV e doutorando em Multimeios na <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicamp.br\/unicamp\/\">Unicamp<\/a>, explica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cExiste um certo preciosismo ao defender uma \u201ccultura do cinema\u201d de uma forma apaixonada e saudosista, como se os longas s\u00f3 fossem \u201cde verdade\u201d no cinema f\u00edsico, ao inv\u00e9s de problematizar as ambival\u00eancias e transforma\u00e7\u00f5es reais do mercado audiovisual. As plataformas VOD (V\u00eddeo Sob Demanda) por assinatura oferecem aos consumidores muito mais op\u00e7\u00f5es em todos os dispositivos m\u00f3veis e dispon\u00edveis a hora que ele quiser por um valor igual ou menor que um \u00fanico ingresso de um filme. Poder\u00edamos aqui discutir uma certa homogeneiza\u00e7\u00e3o no cat\u00e1logo dessas obras, mas h\u00e1, em contraponto a isso, cada vez mais novas plataformas com propostas diferentes de consumo. O adensamento da indica\u00e7\u00e3o de filmes produzidos diretamente para plataformas nos festivais, assim como os festivais de cinema que se tornam plataformas de v\u00eddeo sob demanda, s\u00e3o duas faces de um mesmo fen\u00f4meno social de consumo irrevers\u00edvel\u201d.<\/p><cite>Gustavo Padovani<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transforma\u00e7\u00f5es na forma de contar hist\u00f3rias&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No streaming, s\u00e9ries s\u00e3o estruturadas em um formato pensado para esta tecnologia. O <em>binge-watching<\/em> \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica comum nas plataformas. Ele consiste no ato de assistir a v\u00e1rios epis\u00f3dios de uma mesma s\u00e9rie em sequ\u00eancia, de uma s\u00f3 vez. Assim, existe uma despreocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com o chamado c<em>liffhanger<\/em>, conforme explica Emmanuelle Dias:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cS\u00e9ries como House of Cards foram pioneiras no processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o da Netflix, no modelo de lan\u00e7ar todos os epis\u00f3dios de uma s\u00f3 vez, inaugurando um estilo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o que, at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o, era in\u00e9dito. Geralmente, as estreias ocorrem \u00e0s sextas-feiras e h\u00e1 um uso menor de ganchos entre um epis\u00f3dio e outro, os <em>cliffhanger\u201d<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ela refor\u00e7a que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de s\u00e9ries da Netflix \u00e9 semelhante \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o feita na TV norte-americana mas, na TV, o futuro de uma s\u00e9rie \u00e9 decidido pelo projeto piloto (primeiro epis\u00f3dio de uma s\u00e9rie). Com a ades\u00e3o do p\u00fablico \u00e0quele conte\u00fado, a temporada come\u00e7a a ser desenvolvida. Ela criou essa persona para atrair esse p\u00fablico para ela, como empresa, que no in\u00edcio era um perfil muito jovem, e acabou funcionando\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p><cite>Emmanuelle Dias<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa estrat\u00e9gia usada pela Netflix foi um sucesso no Brasil ao usar memes e personalidades conhecidas para promover suas s\u00e9ries originais, como no v\u00eddeo promocional da s\u00e9rie <em>Stranger Things<\/em>, no qual a apresentadora Xuxa usa suas pr\u00f3prias pol\u00eamicas para divulgar a s\u00e9rie:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stranger Things - Xuxa e o baixinho que sumiu\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2t-AIbErqts?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Isso significa que \u00e9 usada uma extens\u00e3o narrativa que ultrapassa a s\u00e9rie e conta uma hist\u00f3ria para al\u00e9m daquele roteiro original assistido. Essa estrat\u00e9gia \u00e9 chamada de <em>storytelling transmidi\u00e1tica<\/em>, constru\u00edda em torno da s\u00e9rie e da cultura regional.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA estrat\u00e9gia de storytelling somada \u00e0 estrat\u00e9gia de transm\u00eddia \u00e9, muitas vezes, utilizada com o vi\u00e9s de marketing e branding\u201d, detalha Emmanuelle Dias, e completa: \u201cA narrativa transmidi\u00e1tica \u00e9 uma narrativa espalhada em diversos ambientes midi\u00e1ticos. Star Wars, por exemplo, tem filmes, HQ\u2019s, jogos de videogame&#8230; Cada espa\u00e7o midi\u00e1tico conta uma hist\u00f3ria complementar do universo de Star Wars. Assim, a narrativa transm\u00eddia \u00e9 uma narrativa que perpassa diferentes ambientes e cada um complementa a seu modo o universo ficcional\u201d, explica Emmanuelle Dias.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Streaming X Cinema tradicional<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Com a pandemia no novo coronav\u00edrus, os cinemas tradicionais fecharam as portas para atender \u00e0s normas sanit\u00e1rias e de distanciamento social. Sendo assim, o crescimento do streaming pode ofuscar o cinema tradicional? Emmanuelle Dias afirma que uma m\u00eddia n\u00e3o substitui a outra, elas convivem. A Netflix vai incorporar conte\u00fados que foram veiculados por produtoras grandes, independentes, nacionais, estrangeiras etc. Ent\u00e3o, ela acaba sendo um conglomerado, assim como a Disney.
